Goal Type:

Boston Qualifier

Running Accomplishments:

Marathon PR: 4:17 at Portland Marathon, Oct. 2007

Have run 15 marathons to date.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Next marathon: California International Marathon -- goal: enjoy the whole race and shave some time off my old PR (4:17).

Qualify for Boston (4:05 for my age/gender) within next ~18 months.

Learn to maintain good mileage through the winter months. My main challenges: ice, snow,  heavy rains, wind storms.

Sub 4 marathon within next 2 years.

Consistent mileage of 65-70+ mpw.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Continue to enjoy running into  old age. Be able to enjoy running marathons into old age.  Be an inspiration to others.  Live a long and healthy life.

Personal:

Born 1958.  Jogged a little in my 20's and 30's.  Started running seriously in 2002, using Galloway method.  "Graduated" in 2006 to eliminate majority of walking,  increase my mileage, and start working on time goals.

Besides being a runner, I am a wife (married 18 years to an amazing, wonderful man), homeschooling mom, freelance harpist, knitter, former reference librarian, children's rights advocate, and true Pacific Northwester (I love rain, clouds, fog...).
